Devs United Games, the creative minds behind the Quest exclusive hit Real VR Fishing, have exciting news for PC VR enthusiasts. The much-loved VR fishing experience is making its way to PC VR headsets next month.
Set to debut on SteamVR headsets in the early days of December, Real VR Fishing plans to uphold the same pricing strategy and gameplay dynamics as its Quest counterpart. Enthusiasts can expect all the current downloadable content—including the US West Coast, US East Coast, and Japan DLCs Parts 1 and 2—to be accessible from day one on Steam.
Gamers will dive into a base game jam-packed with 40 unique fishing spots and over 150 fish species. Yet, when you add the DLC packs, the options expand remarkably with 95 additional picturesque locations and more than 300 different fish species waiting to be hooked.
On Quest, Real VR Fishing supports both solo angling adventures and four-player multiplayer mode. However, Devs United Games has shared with Road to VR that the upcoming Steam version won’t support cross-play between Quest, Pico, and PC VR platforms, which is a noteworthy consideration for those hoping to cast their lines alongside players on different systems.
The Steam version promises to offer exciting extras, including integrated YouTube and web browsing capabilities, regular monthly updates, and personalized aquarium customization options, enhancing the immersive experience even further.
Since its original launch on Quest in late 2019, Real VR Fishing has reeled in quite the fan base, boasting an impressive [4.6/5] rating from over 7,200 avid gamers.
For those eager to get their hands on Real VR Fishing, it’s already possible to add it to your wishlist on Steam ahead of its much-anticipated early December release.
