Yesterday, in the spirit of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, Sony shared the PS Plus games lineup for December 2024. However, many players feel a bit let down by the offerings. One of the games, previously removed from PS Plus Extra earlier this year, has made its way back, leaving quite a few subscribers feeling they’ve seen it all before.
Looking at how fans have reacted, there’s a consensus that the December offering could have been more impressive, especially for a milestone like a 30th anniversary. The selected games include “It Takes Two,” “Aliens: Dark Descent,” and “Temtem.” While these choices aren’t exactly bad, people note that “It Takes Two” was part of PS Plus Extra not too long ago.
Scrolling through the PS Blog, gaming forums, and various social media posts, it’s clear that fans aren’t complaining about the games themselves. Instead, they’re disappointed by what they perceive as a lackluster celebration. A subscriber commented, “This has to be one of the most lackluster anniversary efforts I’ve seen, especially for something as significant as a 30th anniversary.” Another expressed, “I never usually write comments, but I had to speak up about how disappointing this is,” while someone else added, “I typically avoid complaining on platforms like this, but this lineup is just not up to par.”
While the full lineup for PS Plus Extra and Premium in December 2024 is still under wraps, Premium members are looking forward to three classic favorites and a new game trial.
