Dark Passenger, a Polish game developer, has just landed a $3 million investment. Founded by experienced veterans from CD Projekt, this studio attracted the backing of The Games Fund, with additional support from Blite Fund. This new funding is earmarked for their first major endeavor—a third-person, multiplayer stealth action game set in the captivating world of feudal Japan.
Jakub Ben, the CEO of Dark Passenger, shared some insights: “The multiplayer gaming scene is buzzing with excitement, yet there’s still so much unexplored potential out there. It takes a lot of creativity, trust, and a clear vision to really grasp where we’re heading, and we found those exact traits in The Games Fund.”
He went on to emphasize, “This investment is a pivotal moment for us. It’s enabled us to expand our team and lay down the critical groundwork for our project, allowing us to dive into the production phase with confidence.”
Sharing his thoughts, Ilia Eremeev, co-founder of The Games Fund, said: “There’s a distinct lack of games willing to push the boundaries and offer players those bold experiences they yearn for—the kind that makes you shout, ‘Hell yeah!’ After getting a glimpse of their early demo, it was clear that Dark Passenger is poised to deliver just that.”
Eremeev further praised the team’s efforts: “Given their size and the development time so far, the quality of what they’ve produced is truly impressive. We are completely in sync with their ambition to create an unfiltered power fantasy. Teaming up with these talented founders is an exciting opportunity for us.”
