Today marks the launch of “Alien: Rogue Incursion” on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, with fans eagerly awaiting the Quest version set to debut next February. Survios, the team behind this Xenomorph-themed thriller, isn’t resting on its laurels; they’re already gearing up for a sequel, aptly titled ‘Part Two.’
In our hands-on review of Part One, we awarded it a solid 7 out of 10. The game excels in crafting an immersive atmosphere and a gripping storyline, though it falters a bit with its monotonous enemy encounters and a rather tough save system. It’s designed to stand on its own, offering about eight hours of gameplay filled with intense Xenomorph action and compelling narratives, yet leaves you eagerly anticipating the next chapter.
While specifics are still under wraps, Part Two promises to shake things up, bringing in fresh, diverse threats beyond the familiar Xenomorph hordes. Survios teases that Part Two continues Zula’s adventure, challenging her with fiercer foes and tougher trials. The development is already underway, hinting at exciting things to come.
Before we dive into the sequel, the focus is on the Quest release of Part One, exclusive to Quest 3/3S and scheduled for February 13th, 2025. Porting those complex levels, rich visuals, and interactive elements to Quest 3’s mobile hardware is no small feat, likely the reason behind the initial delay.
Regardless of the challenges, with the foundational elements of Part One already established, we’re hopeful for a quick turnaround in delivering Zula Hendricks’ next (and perhaps final) showdown as she battles to rid the rogue science station of every last snarling Xenomorph.
