It seems Dragon Age: The Veilguard has reached the end of its updates journey, at least if we go by the latest patch notes. EA recently shared that while the game has managed to attract 1.5 million players, this figure falls 50% short of what they had anticipated. This discrepancy has led to the publisher deciding to cease post-launch support merely three months after release.
In the latest communication from Bioware regarding the patch notes for Dragon Age: The Veilguard update 5, the company mentioned that from now on they’ll only focus on monitoring critical bugs and issues. This statement has fueled discussions among players suggesting that this might well be the final significant update for the game.
The patch notes echoed this sentiment, stating, “We were so happy with the game’s stability at launch and hope you have enjoyed our Quality of Life patches since then. With the game being in a stable place, we are moving to monitor for any game-breaking bugs should those occur.” It certainly feels like a concluding update, although Bioware hasn’t officially confirmed it.
Here’s what the rest of the patch notes entail:
Quality of Life Changes:
- Side quests now have recommended levels so players won’t receive them at lower levels than intended.
Bug Fixes:
- Resolved an issue where Rook could only flirt with Lucanis during a specific dialogue.
- Addressed a problem with the Dread Wolf quest that wouldn’t trigger correctly, or that blocked Rook with an invisible wall at the Crossroads.

- A glitch with the Medium Armor Mastery skill for Warriors has been resolved.
- Players can now avoid infinite drowning on Rivain’s beach, allowing companions to pull Rook out of the water.
