Nintendo has openly recognized the importance of exclusive games as they gear up for the launch of their next console, the Nintendo Switch 2.
This insight was shared during a response to a shareholder’s inquiry regarding the future of Nintendo Switch game releases following the debut of its successor.

With many gamers still engaging with the current Switch, we are eager to keep developing enticing software and continue introducing new games.”
He further elaborated, “However, exclusive titles play a pivotal role when introducing new hardware. Understanding this, we are exploring various strategies for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 to entice as many players as possible to enjoy our offerings.”
