Take-Two Interactive has announced its intentions to likely support the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, although they aren’t ready to provide more details just yet.
This well-known publisher has a track record of bringing a variety of titles to the original Switch. Gamers have enjoyed titles like BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, and the XCOM 2 Collection. More recent releases include Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, New Tales from the Borderlands, LEGO 2K Drive, NBA 2K25, and Sid Meier’s Civilization VII.
Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, highlighted the company’s longstanding partnership with Nintendo during a recent earnings call. “Our collaboration with Nintendo has deep roots. We’ve always supported their platforms when it aligned with our release strategies. There used to be a time when Nintendo’s platforms primarily catered to a younger audience, something that was evident in our release patterns back then,” Zelnick remarked.
He added, “With the Nintendo Switch, and now potentially with its successor, the appeal has broadened significantly. Devices like these are made for everyone. You’ve probably noticed that Sid Meier’s Civilization VII has made its way onto the Switch. While we don’t have specific news to offer right now, we anticipate supporting the Switch 2.”
