In this farming simulator, you’re not just trying to walk in your grandpa’s footsteps. Actually, grandpa is probably out of the picture because you’re farming in a post-apocalyptic world. Welcome to Doloc Town, a community pieced together out of necessity in a world that’s seen better days. Here, everyone has a role to play—some folks are cooking, a few are out catching fish, and others are building the infrastructure you rely on. Your part? Growing the crops that keep everyone fed, with your trusty drone delivering them across town.
Dive into Doloc Town with the demo developed by RedSaw Games Studio, available during the Steam Next Fest from February 24 to March 3. As you explore the ins and outs of this farming sim, you’ll find that it trusts your experience with the genre. The mechanics might feel familiar, but the storyline and setting offer a refreshing twist. As you get to know the quirky neighbors, you’ll glimpse the town’s struggle through societal collapse and a brush with authoritarian rule. I haven’t nailed down the entire story yet, but I’m hooked—it just makes me eager to jump back into Doloc Town.
While there’s no official release date for the full game, the demo is more than enough to keep you entertained for a good few hours. The developers suggest a two-hour playthrough, but I found myself sinking extra time into making my farm as efficient as possible, upgrading wherever I could. So, if you’re up for a few hours of cozy, post-apocalyptic farming, make sure to grab the Doloc Town demo while it’s available.
