Social Discovery Group, the entity behind popular platforms like Dating.com and DateMyAge.com, has just unveiled a new venture studio with a forward-thinking mission. Their goal? To make virtual intimacy an everyday reality by supporting budding startups working on AI-driven communication, XR innovations, and social discovery platforms.
This initiative, named SDG Lab, is committing to a hefty annual investment of $20 million. They’re rolling out a fundraising process that’s designed to be straightforward, allowing entrepreneurs to secure initial funding for product development and additional resources for scaling their ventures.
Some standout investments from SDG Lab include ‘VR Chat&Date,’ a platform delving into virtual dating, as well as niche-focused dating apps like Kiseki, Flure, and AstroLove.
Guided by Alex Kudos, who previously served as the Chief Marketing Officer of Social Discovery Group, SDG Lab goes beyond mere financial support. They’re extending a helping hand to startups by offering resources such as legal guidance, back-office management, technology infrastructure, and marketing expertise.
“Social interaction is undergoing a transformation, with digital intimacy leading the charge,” remarks Alex Kudos, the recently appointed CEO of SDG Lab. “Here at SDG Lab, it’s not just about funding ideas—it’s about being an active partner in the evolution of human connection. By investing in bold entrepreneurs, we’re paving the way for meaningful relationships that transcend geographical boundaries.”
Kudos also highlights the reality of modern virtual relationships, saying, “AI-driven connections aren’t just in the realm of science fiction anymore; they’re integral to our digital existence. SDG Lab is at the forefront, crafting the next wave of products that will redefine how people connect, interact, and form relationships online.”
