The latest adventure in Walkabout Mini Golf takes players to the heights of Mount Olympus. This course marks the game’s 32nd installment, following the January release of Viva Las Elvis. Studio head Lucas Martell reveals that Mount Olympus is grander in scale compared to the massive Temple At Zerzura introduced earlier in 2023.
Imagine the scene: perched high above the Aegean Sea, you enter the mythical land of gods and goddesses. This is where the Olympians decide humanity’s fate, all through the whimsical challenge of miniature golf. Navigate through intricate temples and myth-filled landscapes peppered with challenging obstacles. Your putting skills will soon meet the scrutiny of the Olympian Council, determining whether you’re blessed with victory or facing divine retribution.
As you ascend Mount Olympus, expect to come across temples adorned with the symbols of Greek deities like Zeus, Apollo, and Artemis. We had the chance to take a tour with Walkabout’s creator, Lucas Martell, and it’s the longest one we’ve ever recorded, packed with 28 minutes of intriguing behind-the-scenes insights.

In a recent insightful chat, I sat down with Mighty Coconut’s senior art director, Don Carson, to dive into the game’s creative process. He explained their commitment to exceeding expectations with a complex, layered design strategy that unfolds over more than a year. The team, affectionately called the Coconuts, now consists of dozens of dedicated members.
Following the phenomenal response to Viva Las Elvis—which saw the game’s most successful sales day in its nearly five-year run—the question arises: will players be drawn back in by Mount Olympus and help keep the momentum going?
You can experience Walkabout Mini Golf on all significant headsets and iOS platforms.
