You probably know that “Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii” has a fun twist involving golden balls, and yes, those might belong to Goro Majima if he manages to round them all up during a sub-story.
Apologies to anyone who was expecting something else from the headline. These are genuine golden balls scattered in various spots where Goromaru docks, much like in “Like A Dragon: Gaiden.” Some players were encountering a pesky bug that kept them from collecting all the golden treasures, but that’s been sorted out now. So, let’s ease off the rotten veggies and quit sending Kiryu-themed threats my way, alright?
This fix is part of the game’s fresh update, patch 1.12, rolled out by RGG today, March 7. According to the update notes, they’ve “fixed an issue where the golden ball could not be obtained.”
Mystifying, isn’t it, RGG? Which elusive ball was causing the trouble? What turned it into an unattainable goal? Were one of the game’s treasure-hunting pirates eyeing it, despite not being old Tojo Clan members? Well, we might never get those answers. The key thing is the golden balls have returned, channeling Thin Lizzy’s spirit with their comeback, and that’s what counts.
Moving on, here are the other handy fixes included in this patch across all platforms:
– They’ve resolved an issue that prevented manual saves.
– An amusing yet frustrating glitch where loading a saved game on a ship could make players plunge into the sea, unable to return, has been fixed.
– Arcade game rankings are now properly saved.
– Various spelling mistakes have been corrected, and localization efforts have been improved.
– A host of other bug fixes to enhance overall stability and quality are also included.
For PC gamers, there are a couple of tweaks worth noting. The game has been updated to support Intel XeSS 2.0.1, and a rare crash problem during resource loading is now history. Additionally, if you’re experiencing random driver crashes with certain NVIDIA GPUs, RGG suggests adjusting your settings to cap the framerate at 60 FPS.
If you haven’t dived into Pirate Yakuza yet, don’t miss checking out my review. It’s got just a hint of concern over whether finding a middle-aged Japanese guy taking a shower no longer seems funny, which might mean my humorous sense is off its game.
