Apple’s cutting-edge AI suite, known as Apple Intelligence, is set to expand its reach to the Vision Pro headset in April with the rollout of visionOS 2.4. For those who can’t wait, diving into developer mode offers an early glimpse.
As expected, Vision Pro will soon boast all the sleek AI capabilities currently enriching iOS and Mac. From intuitive writing tools and AI-crafted images to smart replies, natural language photo searches, AI summaries, and personalized emojis, users can experience a seamless integration of these features. The uniqueness of Vision Pro lies in its reliance on voice and hand-based input, which is set to elevate user interaction to a new level.
Notably, the upcoming update promises to refine guest interactions with its improved Guest User mode. By linking with a nearby iPhone or iPad, device sharing becomes smoother, eliminating the usual confusion of navigating XR headsets.
In addition, the 2.4 update will introduce the Spatial Gallery—a curated collection featuring spatial photos, videos, and panoramas by talented artists and videographers. This immersive gallery will be accessible to users across several countries, including Australia, Canada, and the U.S., among others.
The integration with iOS will see a leap forward as well. Once visionOS 2.4 launches officially, Vision Pro users can explore and queue app and game downloads, browse spatial experiences, and manage their device via the new Apple Vision Pro iOS app that coincides with the release of iOS 18.4.
Initially, the 2.4 release, complete with Apple Intelligence, will be available solely in U.S. English. However, Apple assures us that further features and multilanguage support will unfold as the year progresses.
Though a precise release date is yet to be disclosed, the developer beta of visionOS 2.4 is already live. If you’re a developer eager to jump in, simply navigate to Settings, then Privacy & Security. Activate the “Developer Mode,” and give your Vision Pro a restart to explore the latest advancements.
