ASRock has unveiled its upcoming Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs online, showcasing the Steel Legend and Taichi custom models.
ASRock’s new custom models for the RX 9070 series have recently been spotted online, prior to their official launch. These images reveal an impressive lineup featuring the Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger models. The Taichi series appears to be ASRock’s flagship offering, boasting a sophisticated triple-fan design and a robust heatsink. This sizable setup necessitates a three-slot card, suggesting serious performance capabilities.
One standout detail about the Taichi variant is its inclusion of a 12V-2×6 power connector. Not every model will utilize this feature, as AMD has left it to their AIB partners to decide based on individual model requirements. This connector can support up to 600W of power, indicating that the Taichi is primed for superior specifications and substantial overclocking potential.
Then we have the Steel Legend variant, which ASRock positions as a mid-range option. It features a unique color scheme, available in both white and silver. Designed with a 2.5-slot triple fan setup, it differs from the Taichi by using a dual 8-pin power connector instead of the 12V-2×6. This configuration is standard across most of AMD’s AIB models, with exceptions made for high-end offerings like the Taichi series.
As for when gamers can get their hands on these models, all signs point to a release in the coming weeks. Rumors suggest AMD will begin pre-orders for its RX 9070 series GPUs soon, so enthusiasts should keep an eye out.
