Fans of Assassin’s Creed will have to wait a little longer for the latest installment, Shadows, as Ubisoft has announced yet another delay. The release has been pushed back to March 20, 2025, giving you some extra time to revisit or catch up on previous Assassin’s Creed titles if you haven’t already.
Once again, Ubisoft has shifted the release date for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, now aiming for March 20, 2025. According to the developer, this extra time will help them ensure a “more ambitious and engaging day-one experience” for players. This marks the second delay for Shadows. Originally, the game was slated for a November 15, 2024, release. However, it was first postponed to February 14, 2025, before being delayed again to the current March date.
Ubisoft shared that the feedback they’ve received from their community has been incredibly motivating. “Since November, our excitement has grown by sharing gameplay overviews with you all, and the response has been nothing short of inspiring,” a Ubisoft spokesperson mentioned. “Every week, we gather crucial insights from our community. Although significant progress has been achieved, we believe a few more weeks are necessary to act on that valuable feedback and craft an even more exciting day-one experience.”
Consequently, the anticipated launch date is now set for March 20, 2025. Ubisoft remains dedicated to delivering a top-notch immersive experience, supported by continuous communication between players and the development teams.
Recently, the game’s development has seen rigorous revisions and improvements, reflecting Ubisoft’s commitment to quality. Despite the additional delay, it’s a bit surprising given the progress and reports indicating Assassin’s Creed Shadows was shaping up quite nicely. However, the extra wait is a testament to Ubisoft’s intention to pay close attention to the feedback and fine-tune the game further.
