While details are sparse, the developers teased on a PlayStation blog that the update will deliver a lively adventure packed with shiny gifts, plenty of jingle bells, and some fresh, special bots to discover. Importantly, this level promises to charm both kids and adults, intentionally avoiding those frustratingly tough challenges.
Team Asobi has long served as Sony’s trusty tech demo creator, crafting hits like Astro’s Playroom, which debuted with the PlayStation 5 as a showcase for the console’s capabilities, as well as Astro Bot Rescue Mission, which highlighted the PlayStation VR headset.
The release of this extra level is a heartfelt thank you from the team, celebrating the enthusiastic support from both fans and critics.
