Last week, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl took Steam by storm, becoming the top-selling game. Released on November 20th, it has already surpassed the one million copies mark. This success is in addition to a number of players accessing the intense survival shooter through Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. The achievement is undoubtedly a triumph for the developers at GSC Game World, who managed to complete this game despite the harrowing conditions of a literal warzone.
This achievement pushed Counter-Strike 2 down to the second spot. Meanwhile, Valve’s Steam Deck made an impressive leap to third place, fueled by the launch of a sleek, limited white version of the console on November 18th, which virtually flew off the shelves immediately.
In the rankings, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 each dropped a slot, landing at fourth and fifth respectively. Despite widely reported technical hiccups, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 managed to secure the sixth position upon its debut.
The buzz surrounding Path of Exile’s upcoming Early Access release drove it to the seventh position this week, thanks in part to Supporter Packs that provide early access to eager gamers. Amazon and NCSoft’s Throne and Liberty climbed two spots to eighth, edging out EA Sports FC 25, which settled at ninth. Rounding off the list at number ten is Dota 2.
