This remake is facing some challenges.
This week, we’re diving deep into Death Wish 4, tied into the introduction and our popular 1-900-103-4RFN offers. It’s a typical RFN move to focus on the familiar rhythm of our show, whether or not Jon is around.
Once we’ve spent an impressive amount of time helping new listeners get accustomed to our voices and names, we dive into NEW BUSINESS! Greg kicks things off with a quick update on Mario & Luigi: Brothership, followed by a lively chat about the latest addition to NSO: Donkey Kong Land. James returns with his unique blend of humor and insight to discuss the newly-released KUUKYOMI 4: Consider It. These quirky little games are oddly hard to describe but undeniably enjoyable. Guillaume wraps up his thoughts on Trials of Mana, confirming it as a top-tier game, especially with its inclusion in the Nintendo Black Friday sale. He’s a bit less enthusiastic about the Amazon series Like a Dragon: Yakuza, though. And Jon? Well, he’s gone back to Skyrim on the PS5. Surprisingly, he’s actually playing it this time and along with James, they’re plotting strategies for snagging vouchers on the eShop and Xbox Live. Game time is approaching for these two.
After a short break, we get down to the business of selecting our game for The Nintendo DS 20th Anniversary Retroactive. We’ve whittled it down to two games each—totaling eight—but the final pick is a mystery you’ll have to listen in to discover.
Keep the excitement going!
This episode was polished to perfection by Guillaume Veillette. Our iconic “Men of Leisure” theme was specially crafted for Radio Free Nintendo by Perry Burkum. You can explore more of his work on SoundCloud. The distinctive RFN logo? That’s the handiwork of Connor Strickland, whose portfolio you can find on his website.
Closing out this episode, we have “More London Streets (Live)” from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, chosen by James and composed by Tomohito Nishiura. LEVEL-5 Inc. holds all rights reserved.
