Looks like Genshin Impact is once again ready to challenge its players with an exciting event in its upcoming 5.3 update. The popular Legend of the Vagabond Sword event is rumored to be making a comeback, promising a fresh difficulty level and introducing some intricate combat dynamics. Known for intensifying the gameplay, this event previously appeared back in update 1.6 and more recently in version 4.6. This addition will undeniably be a treat for those who enjoy testing their strategies, especially since the main attractions in Genshin revolve around the Spiral Abyss and the Imaginarium Theater.
Unlike other permanent fixtures such as Local Legends, which can be tackled anytime, the Legend of the Vagabond Sword only appears sporadically. So, it’s definitely something players look forward to whenever it returns. Earlier iterations often rewarded Primogems even at lower difficulty settings, but to beat the event on the hardest difficulty, gamers had to pull out all the stops, really pushing themselves and their team compositions to the brink.
According to some insights from the leak by HomDGCat, four formidable world bosses are set to reappear in version 5.3, each challenging players with their top level of 105. These bosses include the Hydro Tulpa, Legatus Golem, Tyrant of Fire and Iron, and the Secret Source Automaton. Handling these bosses is no easy feat, as they’ll require characters like Xilonen or Xianyun to navigate and successfully disrupt the bosses’ powerful Ultimate abilities. Having the right companion strategies is crucial because if you fail to interrupt an Ultimate, you’ll see your entire team knocked out, while the boss regains its elemental shield fully.
So, what do we know about these bosses in more detail? While their exact health stats remain a mystery, players are anticipating some substantial figures, considering that the Primo Geovishap had a staggering 9 million HP previously. To take on the Hydro Tulpa, featuring Mavuika and Arlecchino might offer players an edge since they’re highlighted in the Event Banners. If you’re missing these 5-Stars, a strong Xiangling setup might come in clutch instead.
As for the Legatus Golem, Geo characters like Navia are expected to excel, providing consistent Geo application to counter it efficiently. And when it comes to the Tyrant of Fire and Iron, setting up with Neuvillette or Mualani might be the way to go, as most Hydro-centric teams should manage to interrupt it effectively. Set your calendars for January 1, 2025, when update 5.3 goes live and gear up for the return of Legend of the Vagabond Sword, among other exciting features.
