The iconic franchise that introduced many of us to Goldfinger’s “Superman” and convinced quite a few to try out skateboarding is making a comeback with another remaster. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 will be hitting the shelves on July 11, ready for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch fans.
Following in the footsteps of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, the new THPS 3 and 4 features beloved classic levels such as Foundry, College, and Alcatraz, along with some fresh and original settings. The legendary soundtrack that defines these games has been expanded with new tracks, and a mix of new and familiar skaters brings diversity to the lineup. The visual experience has been significantly upgraded, offering support for higher refresh rates and ultrawide monitors. However, you can switch back to the original graphics if you’re in the mood for a nostalgic throwback.
Pre-orders are open now, and I’ll detail all available versions, where to snag them, and what each edition includes. If you’re planning to play on PC or Xbox, keep in mind that it will be available on launch day for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 – Standard Edition
The $49.99 Standard Edition might not come with extras, but those who pre-order a physical or digital copy from any store before July 11 will receive the Foundry demo. This demo lets you test out two parks and skaters before the official release. Plus, you’ll get a unique cosmetic option for Tony Hawk in the form of a wireframe shader.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 – Digital Deluxe Edition
By choosing the $69.99 Digital Deluxe Edition, you’ll still get the Foundry demo and wireframe Tony model, along with a bunch of exclusive in-game cosmetics inspired by Doom Eternal. This includes the Revenant and Doom Slayer skaters, five unique skate decks, and customization options for the create-a-skater mode. Additionally, you’ll access the Unmakyr Hoverboard, new tracks from the Doom Eternal Soundtrack, and a perk of playing the game three days early.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 – Collector’s Edition
For the ultimate THPS fan, the $129.99 Collector’s Edition is the most comprehensive package available. It includes everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition, plus the added bonus of a limited edition, full-size Birdhouse skateboard. However, you’ll need to get your own trucks, wheels, and grip tape to hit the streets with this unique board.
