Preparing for Boxing Day got me thinking about how satisfying it might be to have a word—or a punch—with a few game developers who’ve missed the mark recently.
Reflecting on what slipped under our radar last week, we had the surprise launch of Quilts and Cats of Calico from the Indie World scene. For North America, new to the lineup is another intense Dodonpachi bullet hell shooter, Saidaioujou, while Warrior Blade by Taito made the Archives list.
Spending time at my parents’ place has been a lesson in patience, especially when you’re stuck in the boondocks with a spotty internet connection. Frustratingly, even with all the eShops right at my fingertips, nothing caught my eye here. Europe seemed to get a tad more variety, even if it’s just the same games dressed up with uniform screenshots. (I suspect North America might have bagged the "different" title a few weeks ahead, but alas.)
