Nintendo has just expanded its offering for those subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online service by adding three more games from the classic Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) lineup.
To access these newest additions, make sure you’ve downloaded the latest update for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online app (Version 4.0.0):
First up is “Fatal Fury 2,” a legendary fighting game from 1994 that brings you back into the world of martial arts showdowns. After the storied battle between the Bogard brothers and Geese Howard, the King of Fighters tournament kicks off again. Each fighter enters the fray with unique motivations and skills drawn from martial arts traditions worldwide. The gameplay introduces the two-line battle system, allowing for strategic positioning and the ability to send opponents flying across lines. Special moves become available when your fighter’s strength is lower. The challenge is to master these skills and claim the title of King of Fighters!
Next on the list is “Super Ninja Boy,” where you join Jack and Ryu on an epic quest! Set in the realm of Yokan’s capital, chaos ensues following the departure of the Universal Peace Mission’s space ship fleet, and it’s up to our heroes to restore order. Released in 1993, this SNES adventure blends RPG elements with action-packed gameplay. Gather items and unleash ninja moves like Throwing Stars and Moonsault Kicks to take on powerful enemies. Play solo or team up with a friend to unlock even more ninja capabilities, like the impressive Tower Mega-Attack!
Finally, “Sutte Hakkun” lets you guide Hakkun in collecting rainbow shards scattered across an island. Originally hitting the scene in 1998 on the Japanese Nintendo power service, this puzzle-action game had its full release on the Super Famicom in 1999. As Hakkun, you can absorb blocks and spit them out to create paths. The objective seems straightforward, but it encourages creative problem-solving to reach each shard. Hakkun can maneuver with a block in his mouth, enabling you to rearrange blocks strategically to complete your quest.
